It was in the 60's today (and will be for the rest of our trip through California--buuummmmer!). We all wore pants and sweatshirts, but would take off the sweatshirts every now and then as the sun broke through the clouds. Despite the chilliness, Kaleb's face is burnt, my face (esp. my nose) is bright red, and Karry's head is hurting and red. Bummmer! We didn't think about sunscreen on such an overcast day!!
Kaleb peed his bed again this morning. What is the deal with that? He doesn't do that at home! It's a big deal when he does that--we have to wash the sleeping bag, and sheets, and his pillow too (how does he get it on the pillow??).
Today the trailer has been feeling like such tight quarters and multiple times today the kids said they just want to go home. This morning was stressful--with such a huge mass of laundry (sleeping bag, etc.), where do we put it, and how do we walk around it, etc? It was a little tricky. The living area of the trailer is a hallway. Ruby crawls there, the boys walk there or sit there and play. Just walking from the bedroom to the bathroom can be such an obstacle course with all of the kids and stuff sometimes. It feels like we brought too much stuff (wish it wasn't so crowded with stuff in here), and yet, we didn't bring enough of what we need. We stopped at an Old Navy today to pick up one more pair of pants for each of the kids & me. I packed for sunshine, not 60 degree days! ;)
We're looking forward to our theme park days being over. We got free tickets to go to Legoland one more day, so we're stopping in there for a few hours tomorrow on our way up north. After that, we'll be done with theme parks. While it's been fun, it's been so expensive. We've bee spending at least $30 everytime we have a meal at a park like that (and we usually share meals and drinks--I can't imagine what it would be like if we always bought our kids the "souvineer bucket" kids meal deals...). I can't wait to just be camping in the woods or at the beach and have a simple ham sandwich in the trailer!! :)
We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow, driving about 5 hours towards Pismo Beach (after a bit at Legoland). Pray for sunshine! We want sunshine! Pray that no more kids pee their beds!! :)
